Students: Student tickets were included in student packets (along with certificates and pins) and will be given to students by their teachers.

Guests: Good news! We will have many open seats at each ceremony. Additional tickets for guests will be available at the reception on a first-come, first-served basis. To get a ticket, guests should check in at the Guest Table at the reception. Tickets will be handed out based on seat availability.

Once available guest tickets are handed out, guests may receive a standby ticket. This will put them on the list to get into the auditorium at 5:05 or 8:05 (depending on the ceremony) based on how many seats are still open at that time. Standby tickets will be called in the order they are given out (i.e. 1-100).

Teachers: Teachers who RSVP'd should have received their tickets in a separate envelope with the student packets. Teachers who did not RSVP can still attend but will need to check in at the Guest Table and follow the process outlined above.

Lost Tickets: Teachers, guests, and students who lose/forget their tickets can go to the LOST TICKET Table. Names will be checked against award winners and those who RSVP’d. Replacement tickets will be handed out to those on the list(s).

Student packets should have been picked up by district/school art coordinators at the Art Intake at HCDE on Thursday, April 20. Packets for students who won writing awards were also given to the district/school art coordinators.

Student packets that were not picked up will be handled in three ways:

1. District/School — packets will be couriered to the district or school April 24–28
2. Home School — packets will be mailed to the student’s address on file
3. Private Art School — details for distribution of these packets will be sent under separate cover to impacted parents and students on April 24.

Parking for the event is $13 (prepaid) at the Theater District. You can also park on the street in available spaces.

If you choose to park in the Theater District, entrances 8 (off Prairie St) and 6 (off Texas St) are the closest to the Wortham Center. If you use these garages, after you park, you will need to make your way to Garage Level 2 to the Wortham Center entrance. The entrance is marked by a large round Silver Header. Signs for Scholastic Reception will be at this entrance.

If you park in another garage in the district, please follow the signs and directions to the Wortham Center.
