Ceremony Details
CELEBRATION DATE AND VENUE
The ceremonies will be on May 3 at the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Center.

ART EXHIBIT
The artwork will be on display in the Grand Foyer and outside the theater.
CEREMONY TIMES
There will now only be two receptions/ceremonies:
- 4:30-6:00 p.m.
- 7:30-9:00 p.m.

CERMONY PROGRAM
Ceremonies will start at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. sharp.
- Students must be seated by 5:05 p.m. or 8:05 p.m. Late students may not be allowed into the theater.
- Students will be seated in the mezzanine section with guests in the balcony.
- All the seats in the theater have an amazing view!
- Ceremonies will last approximately one hour.
- Ceremonies will include a welcome, short overview of Scholastic and HCDE followed by recognition of student winners by district/school.
- Winners of Vision and Voices awards, HCDE Awards, Glassell Awards and Texas Art Supply Awards will be recognized on stage.
- National award winners will be recognized at the end of the ceremony.
PARKING
Parking is available at the Theater District for $13 (prepaid).

- You can also try to find parking on the street if available.
- Reserve parking is available online prior to the event through ParkMobile or ParkWhiz.
TICKET INFORMATION AND GUEST POLICY
Due to extremely limited seating in the theater, each student will be allocated 2 tickets (1 for themselves and 1 for a guest).

- Every person will need a ticket to enter the theater. No exceptions will be made.
- Students will receive their ticket with their certificate and pin from their teacher prior to the ceremony.
- Tickets for guests who RSVP on the HCDE Scholastic Webpage by April 18 will be included in the student’s packet.
- Guests who do not RSVP will need to check-in at the event and will be placed on a standby list for available seating.
- Late arrivals/overflow attendees may watch the ceremony on a monitor outside the theater.
CEREMONY VIDEO
The ceremony will be recorded and a link to the YouTube video will be sent to students, parents, and teachers after the event.
RECEPTION
Light refreshments will be served. We recommend eating before or after the event.
