How Teachers Can Register

    1. Submit the Tools for Teachers Form* on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 7 a.m.
    2. The first 2,000 Harris County teachers** to fill out the form and meet qualifications will be awarded $100 each to shop for supplies at the Challenge Office Products online store.  
    3. Once the form is submitted, it will take about 7 business days to get email confirmation that you are one of the 2,000 teachers eligible to receive $100 of supplies.
    4. Upon receiving the congratulatory email confirming you are one of the awardees, the shopping portal will be open for 5 days to shop.   
    5. Items will be shipped directly to your school. It can take up to one month after ordering to receive supplies (backordered items will take longer).

Eligibility

  • **The first 2,000 teachers who register and meet the following qualifications will be eligible to receive the $100 credit:

    1. Teachers must teach grades PK – 12.
    2. Teachers must work in a Harris County public school. This includes ISD-authorized charter schools (independent charter schools are not eligible).
    3. Teachers must register with a valid Harris County ISD email address.

    School supplies will be shipped to each teacher's school address free of charge

About the Program

    Tools for Teachers is a partnership between the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) and Education Foundation of Harris County (EFHC), designed to support Harris County school district teachers with classroom supplies at the beginning of the school year.

    EFHC will offer $200,000 for this initiative, which the HCDE Board of Education allocated from its annual budget. The program aims to limit the personal cost teachers incur when buying materials to supplement the curriculum.
