Dec. 10 is Human Rights Day
Celebrate Universal Human Rights Month! Human Rights Day is traditionally celebrated around the world on December 10, the day that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Human Rights Day was formally established in 1950. In 2001, President George W. Bush declared the first Human Rights Week in the United States, which has since become a worldwide holiday for the month of December.
