Dec. 21 is Humbug Day! Relieve the pressures and stress of the holidays

Dec. 21 is Humbug Day!

Humbug Day, also known as National Humbug Day, comes up every December 21. It is a holiday that allows you to cast off your frustrations before the holiday season ends. Because the pressures of the festive season can get to us all, it is important that we all get a day to vent out all our frustrations.

Recommended Ways to Observe Humbug Day:

  1. Make a list: As the festivities approach, you can write a list of those things that preoccupy your mind. It will help you to pinpoint the things that stress you over the holidays.
  2. Watch a Scrooge-type movie: There are fun things to do on Humbug Day. Watching a themed movie is one of them, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf the Rednosed Reindeer, The Snow Queen, Calliou's Holiday Movie (for younger kids), etc.
  3. Use #HumbugDay and #NationalHumbugDay on social media to help spread the word.
  4. Read a holiday story: There are many holiday stories out there and 'A Christmas Carol' is free to read, as well as seven additional free stories.
