We can help you pass the GED exam and earn your high school equivalency certificate. With HCDE Adult Education, you will get:
- Instruction in core components of the GED Exam: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies
- Free class material
- Free GED test vouchers
Once you pass all sections of the GED, you can be part of our Adult Education Graduation!
Eligibility Requirements

- Be at least 19, to register for class
- If you are 18 or 17 years of age, you must be officially withdrawn from public school and have parental consent.
- At 16, you must submit a court order that indicates you are ordered to get a GED.
- Live in Harris or Liberty County
- Have a photo ID
- Attend orientation and registration
- Commit to attending every class
- Have access to technology (computer, smartphone, tablet, and internet)
- Be at least 19, to register for class

NEW HCDE Virtual GED Program
Welcome to the HCDE Virtual GED Program! Our live classes, held via Zoom, are designed to help you succeed on your GED journey.
Class Information:

Personalized Placement: During registration, you will take a practice test to help us place you in the class that best fits your needs.

Fast Track Class: If you score 140 or higher, you will join our Fast Track class, which meets four days a week for just two weeks.
- Targeted Support Class: If your score is below 140, you'll be in our Targeted class, meeting two days a week for eight weeks, ensuring you are fully prepared for the GED Test.
No matter your starting point, we're here to support you every step of the way. Join us and take the next step toward your educational goals with confidence!

¿Que ofrecen las clases virtuales de GED?
Clases de GED en español virtuales ayudan a las personas a prepararse para el examen de GED, que es una forma de obtener un diploma equivalente al de la preparatoria en los Estados Unidos si no terminaste tus estudios.
¿Qué se enseña en las clases de GED?
- Matemáticas: Operaciones básicas, álgebra y geometría.
- Lectura y Escritura: Cómo leer, escribir y usar la gramática.
- Estudios Sociales: Historia de los EE. UU., gobierno y geografía.
- Ciencias: Temas como biología, química y ciencias de la Tierra.
¿Porqué tomar clases de GED en español?
- Aprenderás lo que incluye el examen y cómo aprobarlo.
- Practicarás con preguntas similares a las del examen y mejorarás tus habilidades.
¿Quién puede participar?
- Personas que no terminaron la preparatoria y quieren obtener un diploma en los Estados Unidos.
Beneficios:
- Al aprobar el examen de GED, obtendrás un diploma que es reconocido por universidades y empleadores en los Estados Unidos.
- Estas clases son virtuales y están disponibles en español, lo que te permite estudiar desde la comodidad de tu hogar.
Horario de Clases de GED:
- Clases de 10 semanas, los lunes y miércoles o los martes y jueves.
- Horario Matutino: 9:30 a.m. a 12:30 p.m.
- Horario Vespertino: 6:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m.
