CPR/First Aid and AED (Cost $45) 

Whether you need emergency training for your job or to keep your loved ones safe, this course provides the training you need from a certified Red Cross instructor. Learn immediate care procedures for cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies through lecture and hands-on scenarios. Get the skills you need to save a life. Up and Up! Drone Training 

Exciting hands-on, interactive Trainer-to-Trainer (TtT) session designed to equip site coordinators, facilitators, and STEM leads with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to deliver drone-based learning experiences to youth in grades 3–8. Participants will explore the foundational principles of flight, coding, and engineering design through real-world applications.

Beyond the Worksheets: Making Homework Help Meaningful 

Homework help is a staple of the out-of-school time field. The time between school and home is incredibly impactful for helping youth catch up and maintain progress in their schoolwork. This workshop explores best practices to effectively support youth with academic efforts. Kindness in Action: SEL Activities for World Kindness Day and Beyond

Smooth Transitions: Planning for the In-between Time in OST 

Transitions between activities are often the most chaotic and overlooked moments in OST programming. This workshop is designed to help OST professionals learn how to proactively plan and manage transitions to ensure a safe, engaging, and productive environment for youth and staff alike. 3, 2, 1… Launch 

Participants will engage in hands-on exploration of flight concepts, including force, motion, trajectory, and aerodynamics, while learning how to lead engaging, standard-aligned rocket design challenges using Pitsco Straw Rocket Launcher

This training prepares participants not only to implement the rocket launcher activities with young people but also train colleagues to confidently deliver the experience at their own sites. With an emphasis on active learning, data collection, and teamwork, this session is perfect for boosting STEM confidence and creativity in any out-of-school time setting.

The Leadership Blueprints: Planning for Youth Leadership in OST

Visualize Purpose-Align Goals-Inspire Growth 

Hands-on engaging and reflective workshop invites OST coordinators to pause, refocus, and intentionally align their goals for both personal and professional growth. Through the creative 

process of vision board making, participants will explore their leadership journey, program aspirations, and the impact they hope to achieve with students, staff, and communities. 

Using magazines, art supplies, and powerful prompts, this session guides coordinators to clarify their “why,” envision future possibilities, and set aligned intentions for the school year or upcoming program season. The experience encourages self-care, strategic thinking, and community building among OST leaders.
