Seeing the Signs: Understanding and Responding to Bullying

Join CASE for Kids for a special Bullying Prevention Month presentation. CPR/First Aid and AED (Cost $45)

Whether you need emergency training for your job or to keep your loved ones safe, this course provides the training you need from a certified Red Cross instructor. Learn immediate care procedures for cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies through lecture and hands-on scenarios. Get the skills you need to save a life. Successful completion of the course provides certification and access to a link to digital refresher courses within two years of certification.

Up and Up! Drone Training

Exciting hands-on, interactive Trainer-to-Trainer (TtT) session designed to equip site coordinators, facilitators, and STEM leads with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to deliver drone-based learning experiences to youth in grades 3–8. Participants will explore the foundational principles of flight, coding, and engineering design through real-world applications.

Beyond the Worksheets: Making Homework Help Meaningful

Homework help is a staple of the out-of-school time field. The time between school and home is incredibly impactful for helping youth catch up and maintain progress in their schoolwork. This workshop explores best practices to effectively support youth with academic efforts. Participants will learn how to frame academic support as an opportunity to build relationships and nurture positive growth, moving beyond just getting the work done.

Kindness in Action: SEL Activities for World Kindness Day and Beyond

Get your program ready for World Kindness Day on November 13, 2025, with CASE for Kids! This special workshop will explore fun, youth-centered activities that promote empathy, compassion, and connection by highlighting the power of kindness as a key SEL competency. Participants will leave with a ready-to-use portfolio of activities that can be woven into daily routines leading up to and on World Kindness Day. Through hands-on practice and reflection, participants will discover meaningful ways to celebrate kindness that resonate with youth of all ages and backgrounds.

Smooth Transitions: Planning for the In-between Time in OST

Transitions between activities are often the most chaotic and overlooked moments in OST programming. This workshop is designed to help OST professionals learn how to proactively plan and manage transitions to ensure a safe, engaging, and productive environment for youth and staff alike. Participants will explore the critical role that well-structured transitions play in reducing behavioral issues and walk away with a toolkit for implementing fun, youth-centered transitions in their own programs.

November 14, 2025

3, 2, 1… Launch

Participants will engage in hands-on exploration of flight concepts, including force, motion, trajectory, and aerodynamics, while learning how to lead engaging, standard-aligned rocket design challenges using Pitsco Straw Rocket Launcher.

This training prepares participants not only to implement the rocket launcher activities with young people but also train colleagues to confidently deliver the experience at their own sites. With an emphasis on active learning, data collection, and teamwork, this session is perfect for boosting STEM confidence and creativity in any out-of-school time setting.

The Leadership Blueprints: Planning for Youth Leadership in OST

Many OST professionals want to elevate youth voice in their programs but hesitate when it comes to handing over leadership roles to youth. This workshop is designed to bridge that gap by helping staff create safe, structured, and meaningful opportunities for youth leadership that can enhance

engagement without compromising safety. Participants will explore the benefits of leadership roles and leave with practical tools to identify age-appropriate roles that young people can play. Whether your program is centered on homework, enrichment, sports, or anything else, making space for leadership opportunities is crucial for a thriving program.

December 5, 2025

Visualize Purpose-Align Goals-Inspire Growth

Hands-on engaging and reflective workshop invites OST coordinators to pause, refocus, and intentionally align their goals for both personal and professional growth. Through the creative

process of vision board making, participants will explore their leadership journey, program aspirations, and the impact they hope to achieve with students, staff, and communities.

Using magazines, art supplies, and powerful prompts, this session guides coordinators to clarify their “why,” envision future possibilities, and set aligned intentions for the school year or upcoming program season. The experience encourages self-care, strategic thinking, and community building among OST leaders.
