Get ready for an inspiring evening of creativity and recognition at the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Ceremony happening Thursday, March 27, 2025, and hosted by the Harris County Department of Education. This is an event dedicated to celebrating your remarkable talents and achievements!
We are committed to accessibility and will provide handicapped accessible facilities. Be sure to inform us of any specific needs.

Parking Info
Parking for the event is $13 (prepaid) at the Theater District. You can also park on the street in available spaces. If you choose to park in the Theater District, entrances 8 (off Prairie St) and 6 (off Texas St) are the closest to the Wortham Center.
If you use these garages, after you park, you will need to make your way to Garage Level 2 to the Wortham Center entrance. The entrance is marked by a large round silver header. Signs for the Scholastic Ceremony will be at this entrance.

Is it just Gold Key Awardees or Gold and Silver Key Awardees?
Both Gold Key and Silver Key Awardees are invited to the ceremony.
Is it just High School or High School and Middle School?
Both High School and Middle School students are invited to the ceremony and will be announced individually.
How do I sign up for my tickets?
No RSVP or sign-up is required. There will be ushers placed at the entrance with tickets. Student Awardees must request a STUDENT ticket and guests and teachers will request a GUEST ticket. VIP’s will go to the VIP table to retrieve their tickets, along with their guest tickets, located at the entrance to the Cullen Theater, by the escalators.
Do I need to bring my ID or proof of award to attend?
No proof of ID or proof of award is required.
