Scheduled Board Meetings

The Harris County Department of Education Board of Trustees typically holds their monthly board meetings on the third Wednesday of each month. However, there are exceptions. In the month of February, the board meeting is scheduled for the last Wednesday of the month. The board does not meet in March due to the Spring Break holiday, unless there is a need for a special called Board meeting.

Time frame to post Board Meeting Recordings

The Harris County Department of Education board meetings are broadcast live on the day they take place.  The recordings of the board meetings can be found on the Board Notices, Agendas, and Minutes section of the Harris County Department of Education website, typically within three business days of the meeting date.

Board meetings accessible to the public

The Harris County Department of Education guarantees that all agendas, minutes, and recordings from the board meetings are available on their website for at least 365 days following the meeting date.  Members of the public can find this information on the Board Meetings and Notices page, which is accessible from the Harris County Department of Education's main website.  If a request is made by the public for the agenda, minutes, or recording of a board meeting, individuals will be guided to visit the Harris County Department of Education home page, proceed to the Board page, and ultimately access the Board Meetings page.
