Amy Flores Hinojosa

Position 1, Precinct 2

Amy Flores Hinojosa is a strategic leader and engineering professional dedicated to driving operational excellence and community impact across the Greater Houston area.

Currently, she serves as the Chief of Staff for Global Facilities Delivery at Eli Lilly and Company, where she plays a pivotal role in the establishment of their new Houston manufacturing facility. 

A champion for public education and equitable opportunities, Amy served previously as Board President for the Harris County Department of Education (Position 1, Precinct 2).

Her commitment to youth success extends to her role as a director on the board of ProUnitas, a nonprofit that connects students with essential health and wellness resources and as the founder of Community Leaders Encouraging Academia Through Sports, Inc. (CLEATS), where she provides Pasadena youth with the opportunity to envision their future through university visits and athletic engagement.

Amy’s professional foundation is rooted in engineering and large-scale project management. Prior to transitioning to the life sciences industry at Eli Lilly, she worked for over twenty years in the oil and gas industry, with her last eleven years dedicated to Chevron Corporation in LNG technology development, design assurance and digital transformation.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. A graduate of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) Class 62, Amy is deeply invested in the Houston leadership ecosystem. She is also a Houston Leadership ISD 2020 Fellow and a Houston Latinos for Education 2019 Fellow. Amy remains passionate about mentorship and college accessibility.

A Pasadena native, she continues to reside there with her husband, two children, and their two dogs.
