Harris County Department of Education Superintendent James Colbert Jr. takes a very personal approach to education, advocating for students while focusing on leadership philosophies and support for public schools.

The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is HCDE’s senior leadership group that works closely with the Superintendent to drive system initiatives and daily operations while meeting the department’s overall goals and objectives.
