The HeART of Education Luncheon—October 3, 2024

Dear Friends and Fellow Education Advocates,

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who was able to join us for yesterday's Heart of Education Luncheon! Your presence made the event truly magical. Whether you attended in person, participated in the silent auction, or supported in other ways, your involvement is instrumental in advancing our mission to uplift education in Harris County.

This year's theme, Through the Looking Glass of Early Childhood Learning, truly came to life as we explored the importance of early learning. With whimsical tunes from our live harpist setting the perfect atmosphere, the room was filled with wonder and inspiration. Pat Mann Phillips, Chairman of the Board for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, delivered an insightful fireside chat that resonated with all, and the energy in the room was palpable. A special thanks to our amazing co-chairs, Leisa Holland-Nelson and Shavonnah Roberts Schreiber of The Culture Club HTX show, for their passion and dedication, and to our generous sponsors and donors who made the event such a success.

For those who couldn’t attend, we missed you, but I’m thrilled to share that the luncheon exceeded all expectations! We’re already looking forward to hosting another exciting event next fall and we’ll be sharing more details soon.
