Grants

• Grant awards typically range up to $10,000

• Each education foundation or district central office may submit up to three applications per funding cycle

Grant funds may not be used for:

• Staff salaries or ongoing operating expenses

• Construction of new facilities

• Event sponsorships

• Capital campaigns or fundraising initiatives

• PTA/PTO or Booster Club–led efforts

PIE Grants are offered annually. Applications are typically available from mid-December through February.

Applications are reviewed by a committee using a standardized evaluation rubric. Projects are assessed based on criteria such as demonstrated need, innovation, impact, feasibility, and alignment with EFHC priorities.

Applicants are notified of funding decisions following the review period.

Funded projects are implemented during the designated grant term. Grant recipients are required to submit a midyear progress report and a final report summarizing outcomes, impact, and use of funds. Reporting timelines and instructions are provided to awarded applicants.

Applicants are encouraged to clearly define the project need, goals, and anticipated outcomes; develop a realistic timeline and allowable budget; and review the grant rubric before submission. Sample applications and the current rubric are made available during each funding cycle to support strong, competitive proposals.
