Keynote Speakers

Dr. Tracy Weeden, President and CEO of Neuhaus Education Center

Dr. Weeden joined Neuhaus from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Intervention Service Group, where she served as the Executive Director of Academic Planning. Prior to Scholastic Academic Partners, she spent six years as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for Houston ISD. Dr. Weeden's session titled "Walking into Walls" will teach educators how to make a transformational generational impact for our youth, regardless of zip code. 

Dr. Rosalinda Mercado, CEO of E-Colors in Education

After 17 years of experience in K-12 education, Dr. Mercado transitioned from educator to run a nonprofit organization in 2013 to offer professional development to educational and nonprofit entities. Dr. Mercado's session titled "The 8 Essentials of High Performing Teams with Self & Team Awareness" will use practical coaching tools to heighten self-awareness and awareness of others in order to build social-emotional growth in individuals and groups. 

Dr. Regina Boulware-Gooden, Vice President of Academic Planning and Research, Neuhaus Education Center 

Closing keynote speaker Dr. Regina Boulware-Gooden is a licensed educational diagnostician at Neuhaus Education Center in Houston. In her role, she oversees research projects that confirm the efficacy of Neuhaus methodologies and add to the accumulated instruction and teacher knowledge in the field of reading. Dr. Gooden also led the successful implementation of the HISD/Neuhaus Comprehensive Literacy Courses.
