The HCDE PrincipalCertificationAcademy provides an opportunity for outstanding administrators and/or aspiring education leaders to participate in a rigorous, practical, job-focused administrative training program designed for two purposes:
Successful completion of the State Board for Educator Certification/Texas Education Agency Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (TExES o68 Principal Test); and
To increase the knowledge and skill sets required for exemplary practice in the field of campus-level educational leadership. Although students from other master’s programs are eligible for the PrincipalAcademy, HCDE and WaldenUniversity combine the Texas Principal Certification Program administered by HCDE and a two-year master’s degree program from Walden University.
