Harris County Department of Education is a tax-assisted organization that promotes public education through the mission “advancing excellence in partnership with the educational community.”

Each year, HCDE serves more than 60,000 children, youth and adults through our adult education, after-school, alternative education, early-childhood education, Head Start, professional development, safety and security and therapy programs. With your support, we can continue to change the lives of countless children, youths and adults by providing educational programs offered through HCDE’s successful initiatives. In fact, your gift - no matter the size - can change many lives in ways you never would have imagined!
